Because the space sits beneath our main living area, guests may occasionally hear light footsteps or faint voices upstairs, as in an apartment or duplex situation. Likewise, we may hear muffled sounds from the apartment. This is normal for a shared structure, but our household is calm and quiet. We do not have small children, no late-night activity, and no heavy noise. Guests find the space peaceful and relaxing. Because this property is part of our home, we maintain a completely smoke-free environment indoors and outdoors. This includes smoking, vaping, and marijuana use. Guests who smoke should book a property that better fits their needs. OUTDOOR LIVING Large outdoor fire pit! BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS Bedroom 1 | The Bridle Sleeps 2 (1 King bed) Bedroom 2 | The Saddle Sleeps 1 (1 twin day bed) It is nestled in a nook at the end of the hallway at the bottom of a private staircase. Heavy floor-to-ceiling curtains section this space off from the hallway. Sleeping Area 3 | The Reins Sleeps 1 (Couch) In the main living area. Please request sheets for use on the couch. INDOOR LIVING Free WiFi, flat-screen Smart TV (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime), large velvet upholstered couch, games, pub style table with four counter-height leather stools, 2 spacious closets in primary bedroom, central heating & A/C KITCHEN Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, cooking essentials, refrigerator/ freezer, full-sized stove/oven, microwave, toaster, traditional 12-cup coffee maker, Keurig coffee machine, Bosch dishwasher, tableware (plates, glassware, stemware & utensils) BATH & LAUNDRY Bed linens/towels, full-sized washer/dryer (detergent provided, but bring your own if you have sensitivities or brand preferences), toiletries (again, bring your own if you have brand preferences), hair dryer, trash bags, and paper towels. With our tankless water heater, even the last person out of bed gets a hot shower! GETTING HERE This peaceful 4-house neighborhood sits on a private road, less than 9 miles from major sites like The Biltmore Estate and Downtown Asheville. There are no treacherous, windy, twisty, edge-of-cliff mountain roads to get here! It is right off flat main roads. No need to worry; There are no major drop-offs or hard-to-navigate situations! Unlike many Airbnb's in the Asheville area, you won't be gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles or sweating at the brow to get to The Canyon! The Canyon is about a mile outside the Asheville city limits. PARKING Gravel parking strip along paved driveway (2 vehicles). Additional overflow parking lot nearby. We are not able to accommodate oversized or heavy work vehicles. SUPER CLEAN WITH THE GUEST IN MIND With your health and well-being in mind, The Canyon is thoroughly cleaned by professionals before each check-in! Due to sanitation and safety, we do not provide grills at our properties. ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS We have a strict maximum guest count of 4 at this property. If you need more space, check out our other Airbnb offerings! The Hive and The Nest, which each sleep 16, are located directly next door to The Canyon. We are looking forward to hosting you! If anyone in your group lives within 45 miles of Asheville or plans to visit local friends or relatives, please reach out prior to booking to ensure that the nature of your visit complies with our rules. Neighborhood quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM and are strictly enforced. 3. Visitors are not allowed, unless included in the formal reservation count. 4. Pets are not allowed. 5. Smoking is not allowed. 6. Due to insurance requirements, Airbnb guests are prohibited from using play equipment on neighboring properties.
