Spacious walk-in closet caringly transformed into an elegant nursery with warm gold canopy crib and plush upholstered rocking chair. Crib cannot be moved to another room. Crib sheets not provided. There are no windows which helps for daytime naps! This is the primary bedroom with a bathroom and walk-in closet (nursery) attached. Bedroom 2 | The Raven Sleeps 6 (2 Queen beds, twin day bed, twin trundle bed) Distressed brown and a black wood secretary desk/vanity AND a 19th C. French iron secretary desk for laptop-friendly workspace or makeup application. Ceiling fan. Vintage black, pristine white, and burlap. Bedroom 3 | The Aviary Sleeps 2 (Queen bed) Antique white with coral and sage accents. There is a door directly from this bedroom into the hall bathroom, which can also be accessed from the hallway on the other side. Bedroom 4 | The Peacock Sleeps 2 (King bed) There is a TV in this room. Come see our Mid-Century-Modern royal peacock vibe! Round mirrored table and upholstered chairs for compact laptop-friendly workspace. Bedroom 5 | The Flamingo Sleeps 2 (Queen bed) This bedroom has a TV and ceiling fan. The bathroom is directly across the hall from this bedroom. With our tankless water heater, even the last person out of bed gets a hot shower! GETTING HERE This peaceful 4-house neighborhood sits on a private road, less than 9 miles from major sites like The Biltmore Estate and Downtown Asheville. There are no treacherous, windy, twisty, edge-of-cliff mountain roads to get here! It is right off flat main roads. No need to worry; There are no major drop-offs or hard-to-navigate situations! Unlike many Airbnb's in the Asheville area, you won't be gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles or sweating at the brow to get to The Nest! We are not able to accommodate oversized or heavy work vehicles like dump trucks. Work crews, please find other arrangements for your construction vehicles. PARKING Garage (2 vehicles), driveway space (4 vehicles), additional overflow parking lot nearby. We are not able to accommodate oversized or heavy work vehicles. SUPER CLEAN WITH THE GUEST IN MIND With your health and well-being in mind, The Nest is thoroughly cleaned by the same professionals before each check-in! The Nest is about a mile outside the Asheville city limits. Asheville Airbnb laws do not allow people inside city limits to rent out their entire house exclusively as a rental. Legally, it must be their primary residence that they rent when they're out of town, for instance. The Nest is exclusively a rental home, so you won't find personal photos on the walls, used toothpaste in the bathroom drawers, or half-used mustard in the fridge. Due to sanitation and safety, we do not provide grills at our properties. There is a full-size crib (sheet not provided) and guests are welcome to bring pack-n-plays. ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS We have a strict maximum guest count of 16 at each of our properties. If you need even more space, check out our other Airbnb offerings! The Hive, which also sleeps 16, is located directly next door to The Nest. Additionally, The Corral (by request only) is directly across from The Nest! We are looking forward to hosting your group! KNOW PEOPLE IN OR AROUND ASHEVILLE? If anyone in your group lives within 45 minutes of Asheville or plans to visit local friends or relatives, please reach out prior to booking to ensure that the nature of your visit complies with our rules. HOUSE RULES 1. Please do not wear dirty shoes and do not bring food or drinks on carpeted or upholstered areas. 2. Neighborhood quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM and are strictly enforced. 3. Visitors are not allowed, unless included in the formal reservation count. 4. Pets are not allowed. 5. Smoking is not allowed. 6. Due to insurance requirements, Airbnb guests are prohibited from using play equipment on neighboring properties. 7. Please do not roast marshmallows in the indoor fireplace. FIREPLACE The indoor gas fireplace is available for guest use from the beginning of October through the end of February. BEDS The home sleeps 16 guests in beds. While the maximum occupancy is 16 (no exceptions), additional sleeping accommodations (queen air mattress, twin rollaway bed, and large plush couch in living room) provide flexibility for different types of group dynamics. STAIRS The property requires the use of stairs and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. There are two stairs from the garage into the house. CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT We are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late checkouts. We honor our advertised check-in (after 3:00 PM) and checkout (before 10:00 AM) schedule. The small private road The Nest sits on is actually a sweet little shared driveway among four houses, including two Airbnb's (The Nest and The Hive) and two residences, our own (The Corral) and our long-time neighbor's. It is a straight, slightly uphill driveway. The slope is very manageable; We've never had any complaints. The approach is not in the least bit sketchy.
